Learning How to Drive in the Rain Safely

Being able to keep your car on the road when the highway is wet from rain can be a challenge for some. Here are a few things to consider when driving in the rain.

Because the road surface is wet, your vehicle is going to need more time to come to a stop. The tires can only grip so much of the road in the rain, so get into the habit of leaving more space in between you and the drive in front of you in the event they need to come to a stop fast.

Even though the cruise control is handy on the highway, it can be a problem in the rain. The rear tires may speed up when hydroplaning, causing you to lose control of the car.

Be sure to visit Gordie Boucher Nissan so we can give the tires a good inspection and keep you safer on the highway.
